    Hi,

I would like to life the nozzle during retraction or during long movements across the part, because It seems to be remelting the current layer as it does so.

    Thanks

look for "z hop" or "lift z during travel" or something of the sort. I believe all slicers have that function

Some things of note, if you are dragging the hotend through the last layer it could be a sign of either a) inadequate steps per mm/motor current. Z hop in both cases will make layer alignment worse. Or B) over extrusion.

A well tuned printer should leave only the lightest of marks in the last layer.
