Can someone please tell me the length of the shaft on the 42BYGHM208P4.5-15-X2 motor. This is the 0.9 step one. The reason I ask is because I want to use a 8mm spacer and need to know if the 5mm shaft is long enough to properly support the idler arm.

Thanks smart-arse, Why do you waste your time if you have nothing helpful to say, are you bored?
If I had one I would have measured it. A google search doesn't point to the info I asked for, ie 42BYGHM208P4.5-15-X2
There is info on the 42BYGHM208P4 but the suffix might differentiate between shaft lengths.

Thank you. That's good. Some steppers, particularly the pancake/thinner ones only have 20mm shafts. this reduces the max thickness of the mount while still allowing sufficient shaft to support the idler arm.

Yes, had absolutely nothing better to do then to help out a dumb-ass... As you might have noticed the shaft length is the same for both... Otherwise I wouldn't have put up the link
