1 connected my screen and got this message (see picture) the other problem is I wanted to check if a the panel was working and the machine booted up with it connected and it did it sat idle no problems so I thought I would test the heated bed so upped the temp to 25 d and the fuse blew ?? any help appreciated I did update the firmware on the duet (Lan) to the latest, and all was ok but I did not draw any load other than tick over....

The warning message is nothing to worry about. It will go away after you have run M500 to save parameters to config-override.g.

Greg is better able to advise you on the fuse, but the following info from you may be useful:

    - Which fuse blew: the mains inlet fuse, or one of the fuses on the Duet (if so, which one)?
    - If it was the mains inlet fuse, what was its rated current, and what is your mains voltage?

yeh thanks should of been more specific, it was the main fuse f5amp 250 v I have not checked the Duet board I presumed the f5amp would of caught it. As i said, I thought it would have been ok just to try the heated bed to tick that of my list of working items, thoughts ??

To me the most obvious possibilities are:

    1. Incorrect fuse fitted - check that the one that blew was marked 5A.
    2. You've been supplied with a 120V bed heater but you are using 240V. The rated voltage is marked on top of the bed.
    3. You have a short in the bed heater wiring. With power off, measure the resistance between the two bed heater wires where they connect to the PSU and the SSR. The 240V one is rated 800W so its resistance should be about 72 ohms.
    4. Wiring error.

Fuse is correct F5a 250V the rated voltage of the bed marked in white is 120V is this the problem?? I checked the wiring and all is correct.. I have not checked for a short YET

If your mains voltage is 220-240V then you have the wrong voltage bed fitted. Bed voltage should match mains voltage.

If your mains voltage is 110-120V then the bed is correct but the fuse is wrong. Assuming the 110V bed heater is also 800W, you need to use a 10A fuse instead of 5A.

thank you for your help the bed is being replaced, I am on 240v mains and they supplied 110v bed they told me it must also be my wiring as the even if the 110v bed was installed it should not have taken my fuse out (f5amp 250v)glass... I have triple checked my wiring and to be honest its only 4 wires in pairs blue red I will check again when I install the bed ... but thank you..

A 110V 800W bed would have a resistance of about 15 ohms, so with 240V connected across it would draw 16A. Certainly enough to blow a 5A fuse!
