    Hi,
Do you know what are the advantages of the brass nozzle against the plated copper nozzle (except for the price) ?
because i know that the plated copper nozzle can handle higher temperature and the adhesion to the filament is reduced and i don't see the advantages of brass nozzles
    Thank you:)

    Hello Quentin,

The brass nozzles are the standard nozzles as they are the most affordable. They have no real advantage over the copper nozzles appart from price. As you have mentioned, the copper nozzles were designed specifically for high temperature and have been coated with a protective plating which also reduce material build up on the nozzle.
    TLDR:
    • Want a cheap standard nozzle for every-day printing: go brass
    • Want to print abrasive materials like carbon fibre filled or glow in the dark: go hardened
    • Want to print food: go stainless
    • Want to print high temperature and/or sticky materials (PEEK, Ultem-PEI, etc...): go nickel plated copper
