    Hi all,

Just got my assembled prusa v6 hotend through the post and noticed the nozzle distance from the heatblock (i.e. the gap) is 2 or 3 millimeters. Shouldnt it be more like 0.2 millimeters? Is it OK or should I take it apart and start again? Thanks.

    Hi,

assembly manual of the regular E3D V6 says fully insert nozzle in the heat block and then loosen it a full turn. According to this document (https://e3d-online.dozuki.com/Document/rWuaQCQsJTlRdB1k/V6-NOZZLE(Edition-8.1).pdf) the pitch of the nozzle thread is 1 mm --> so loosening a full turn should leave you with a gap of 1 mm.

I dont know if there is a special installation process for the prusa version, but I would wonder if be so.

If you dont experience any errors, i wouldnt mind.
If you want to correct this anyway keep in mind that you need to check z-offset and level the heatbed afterwards.

EDIT: I didnt see this was already 1 year old... o_O
