Just walking stepwise through the assembly mentally - the graphical instructions for the extruder assembly don't mention any bearing - isn't there one visible as part of item #11 (single extruder idler)? It carries no part number, though, and is also not mentioned in the parts list. But there should be something to push the filament to the hob. The dual extruder graphics also does not mention it.

    Just curious...

    Cheers,
    U.

Ulrich, In the Parts Preparation, Step 4 you build one or two (Dual) idlers that include a bearing. In the sub-assemblies for the extruder, the idler (#11) represents the whole piece made in Step 4 when you make the idler, this includes the bearing, printed part and the bolt and sleevs etc that makes up the idler.

The dual extruder shows this as part #3.

You can see it in the diagram but its really small as its quite set into the idler.

PV, thanks, I saw that little thing in the drawing but missed a mentioning - all other parts are denominated. But you are right, I should read the whole opus before I cry... ;) RTFM. itdnhyh2fioy. (if that does not help, you have to figure it out yourself.)

    Cheers,

Guess we are not that far apart, experiencewise... 62, next month.

But that's off topic. Time to say some friendly words about the BB documentation - very diligently made. Just an introduction and some textual glue would not be too much, but there is time enough to do more. That was on topic, I hope. Phew.

    Cheers,
    U.
