I'm trying to install the Revo on my Qidi X-plus with Bondtech direct drive extruder. Replacing the eV6 hotend. When I go to preheat nozzle shows a temperature of 1175 when it's cold. Checked resistance on my 3v6 thermistor when cold and it shows no resistance. Revo cold is showing 53K Ohm. Is this normal? Will have have to modify the firmware to work with the Revo? I hope not as Qidi uses a proprietary firmware. Thanks for any hep.
Qidi printers use K type thermocouples and the Revo uses a NTC type, ie. settings for measuring temps are different. Yes, you do have to modify the firmware to use the revo.
Hi, No idea what firmware you are using, but if you use Marlin, check this video for example: But I guess you will find the right one for you on Youtube as well. These is the thermistor that the Revo is using: https://nl.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Semitec/104NT-4-R025H42G?qs=rGO4O3Mig4iE3j3dGyPxTQ== Important are the 100 kOhms and B-parameter: 4267 K Good luck!
