A wild red benchy appears... The first attempt failed witha thermal runaway. Removed and reseated the PT100 and heater and away we went.
I have finally joined the Armada. I find it hard to believe I can get a print this good off of presliced gcode
The Fleet grows, I'm going through my Filiament collection, Calibrating it and Printing a Benchy.... And on Display for all the world to see, well the office anyway...
I am saaaaailing... first BigBox benchy right off the SD card, pretty happy with it considering my bed definitely needs a bit more tramming and I still haven't quite got my esteps consistent. There's a little bit of unevenness in the layers on one side and some noticeable ringing on the bows but overall not bad at all for a very first print. The overhangs are quite a bit better on one side than the other, going to try to print in a different orientation and see if this is related to the fan direction.
Yeah nice, just asking myself why it is shifted to the right, accidentally not centered? Wrong offsets? Wrong firmware?
the shifting to the right is not having the correct ofset's i have a bigbox 1.1 dual titan upgrade and made my extruder 1 the directdrive. its the bency from the SD card so no offset gcode. @PsyVision yes i am verry happy with that !!
Need to post a picture of my first print... although not fully successful once the stern stuck to the bed it seemed to print well. I do not like the joint in the side though. Looks like the few pictures here that actually show that side... so it is probably as it should but it is uglier than expected. I guess I need to print a few more to get s3d working...
Anyone that have a solution or root cause to the ringing? I see this in x an y. Less in y (caused by rapid x movement ) So thoughts so far: Too tight drive belt Too loose drive belt Y damper...
Ringing/ghosting is the result of vibration of the head after a direction change. Try lower print speeds. If that does not help, you need to look at vibration/play in the machine but that is compounded from all movements, so frame, belts, 3D printed parts of the motion system, bearings, all things contribute...
Yes , forgot speed... Strange that the supplied benchy does not already contain that then... And recommend speed?
