Ok cool, so just to verify you have no fan upgrade in place, just the stock on the electronics cover?
BTW do you still have cables under the board or did you route them all above and around?

Not even using the stock fan. I left the electronics cover off so I can see the LEDs on the board, so no fan. I left the cables a bit messy as I thought I'd probably have to take the board out for some reason or to change things, but there has been no need so far.

A single Duet style PT100 board supports two sensors.

Richrap has an interesting video on this released tonight. Btw, that 7 inch due is crazy big in Richards hands. I may decide to go with a 5 inch.

Duet wifi is a better board and the firmware is good. On the other hand, the firmware community is smaller.
So there are plus and minuses.
I will do the upgrade probably, but I am a bit in the fence because of the dusk carriage upgrade that I might miss if I do so.

@fpex why will you miss he dual carriage upgrade then? I think it is also possible just have a look at the configuration documentation... Also it seems much more easy to configure that because you do it all with gcode scripts and you can include the park one head when switching right away and don't have to deal with that in the slicer...

I am not sure duetWiFi supports it yet.
What it has is the dual z motors that is very interesting

You are right, at the moment you can't run the dual carriage with the duet...

@elmoret it looks like you are running the duet at 16 microstepps, is that true or didn't change that in the file you posted?

Is there a noticeable difference through enabling this? Parking all idealisms of theory.

What is the Firmware based on? Does it have anything to do with Marlin or Repetier? Just wondering seeing as RC7 of the Marlin has the Linear advance function that is supposed to improve the quality. Is there anything like that on the Duet?

The default installation of octoprint includes a webcam output (forget the port) so those who have octopi installed could leave it in situ to just provide the webcam feed rather than investing in an IP cam

It is built from the ground up, which is a great thing in this case as it isn't hacked together and buggy like Marlin.

Regarding Marlin Linear Advance, it appears to implement the same algorithm that was put into RepRapFirmware 18 months ago. In RRF it is controlled by the M572 command, see http://reprap.org/wiki/G-code#M572:_Set_or_report_extruder_pressure_advance

You can see the difference between Duet and RUMBA print quality in the OP. As far as how much of that is attributable to micro stepping I do not know, but it is a moot point as there is no reason not to use 256x interpolation.
