Fair enough. I've considered the move - there are some nice aspects to the Duet - but I'm eager to wait and see where BigBox heads with the dual x-carriage concept they are coming up with. Although ultimately the electronics probably doesnt matter.
The way I see it, they have talked about implementing the dual x carriage, but just didn't have enough interested people at the moment to justify it.
Is there a thread that duel x carriages are discussed this is the first I am aware this may be becoming a reality for the BB.

I didn't mount it yet The picture with the display was just a fake, just the display not connected. I spent my time testing and configuring and planning how I will set everything up... But I already tested the temp sensors because I use the PT100 board. My confit seems fine sonder I see readings. But I will wait with the replacement until after my two week of holidays starting this Monday I think. I will be away from Tuesday to Thursday of next week...

I remember now why I didn't mount it yet: I ordered black PEI aluminium plates from Clever3D because I wanted to test them with the IR and I cannot use the inductive sensor without additional changes with the Duet Wifi... So I thought if Duet Wifi then IR sensor but because of my leveling issues with the natural aluminium I want to wait for the black PEI plate... It should be here after my holidays so...
Just got mine in yesterday, really nice looking board. I also like the fact that they sent connectors and pins so that anything you need to replace to fit to their connectors can be quickly done without having to source the pieces. Big plus and kudos to them for doing that. Can't wait to install it!
Alex, let us know how this goes as I use the PEI plate and really like it. I was pulling chunks of glass out before, but with the ally plate, no issues! So not too keen to go back to the glass
That is letter F on the wish list for the DuetWifi found here https://www.duet3d.com/forum/thread.php?id=8 F. Support for multiple independent X carriages. The common case is two heads moving on the same rods or rails, which park themselves at opposite ends when not in use.
I've just finished designing a dual carriage system for the BB which is on Thingiverse. I'm printing it today to see if it all fits.
