Misumi has no retailer. At least none that I know of.
Which other bearings? The radials? They were fine for what they should do for me ...

Note for readers in the US: Misumi is popular in the US for projects like Lasersaur where we want metric extruded tubing. 80/20 metric can cost twice as much as Misumi, however Misumi's metric bolts and nut can cost many times what they cost from McMaster Carr. I split my orders between Misumi and US-providers and often come out much cheaper than an 80/20 metric order.

We have had some people have some grittiness on the x and y and I figured if I just sourced some nicer ones to start it might save me some headaches while waiting.

It's only the linear bearings people has complained about. I did replace them all with misumi and the difference is huge. I would strongly suggest to at least replace the 4 on the bed. You should test all the bearings on the bed rods. They should be smooth.

Sorry if this was asked before, can't seem to find it if it was.
How many bearings does the bigbox take that would benefit with the other bearings?
I know the 4 from above.
    Thanks

It is 8 bearings: 4 for the bed aka Z axis, 2 for the Y axis and 2 for the X axis

    Thanks Alex.
Do they really make that much of a difference? Or is it more like luck getting good ones originally?

Bad bearings are bad bearings IMHO. If you're lucky they feel good at the start but talk to @R Design, one or two broke later...

Ok. Cool. Now wait for a side job payment and I'll pick them up.
Thank goodness I can use all this stuff for my business. Looks good for bringing you out of the red come tax time lol.

Guess I will order 4 more and they will all be here by the time the Box gets here. Might was well start with nice ones. I can make a crane for the kids out of the others ones.

As @Alex9779 said, they can fail later and I have just had one of the Y-axis bushings/bearings start clicking a couple of days ago. I tried the usual trick of rapid back and forward running to get the ball tracks clear but only a slight improvement, so it looks like a replacement will be needed. Getting Misumi bushings is difficult here in the UK unless you are a business.

So in preparation for the pre-order that will eventually show, ordering eight LMUW8 linear bushings from misumi will save some headache down the road and slightly increase print quality, is that correct? if so, I may have to pull the trigger, even at $80 here in the US

Lol ok now confusion on the actual bearing number to buy.
Which is it so people aren't buying the wrong ones and clear up any and all confusion.

LM8LUU is the generic description for that bushing. If you search for that number on Google for example you find only the cheap Chinese bushings.

LMUW8 is the Misumi part number... As far as I know only purchase able from Misumi...

The other 4 are on order. Should have them before I have my Big Box, so life should be good.
