The UV changing filament only works for a week or two. After that it won't react to the sun anymore. Only printed objects that is. On the spool it still changes. The printing also makes it respond much less than on the spool.
Odd that this should come up! David printed a carabiner as a key ring and it has just started stopping responding to sunlight - although it lasted a lot longer than 2 weeks, it was changing as dramatically as it did on the spool for at least 2 months. We did not observe any degradation in response after printing.. Did you print it quite hot?
No not really. Around 190c, but have tried both lower and higher. I printed a big lampfoot, that did change colour in the beginning. It sits in the sun all day, but don't change anymore. I also thought iw was because i had to high temp. But it does not seem so. Anyway i don't care. It was just a test for me.
