Building a Dual 1.1. which has a single cooling fan. The build instructions refer to 2 cooling fans but there is just one shared fan in the Dual. So do I just ignore the instruction to connect the second (left hand) fan to FAN0? Thanks. Neale.
It does not make a Difference for the connection to the Rumba board. Since both fans would be connected to the same port, One on the 2 pin header and the other with the screw terminals. see black and wihte is part cooling red and black hotend cooling http://wiki.e3d-online.com/wiki/File:Plug_fan0.jpg
I just want to make sure I have wired the fans correcty so just to clarify: On my Dual ther is only one part cooling fan not two. I have connected the right hand hot head fan into FAN1 terminals and the left hand hot head fan into the FAN1 plug. The part cooling fan I have connected to FAN0 terminals but as there is no second part cooling fan have left the FAN0 plug unconnected. In the image you provided there are connections shown to the the fAN0 plug so I have assumed that there were previously 2 part cooling fans on the Dual? Thank you.
The very first version of the BigBox had two cooling fans on the Dual. The Hybrid has only one cooling fan... Sorry but the guide is not up to date in all details...
Thanks Alex. Being a total newby to 3D printing I wanted to get it right. Now the fun starts with commissioning.
