Through a massive bout of stupidity I have managed to destroy both the cork pads for these motors

As I have some cork sheet about 1mm thick is it OK if I just make a couple of new pads out of this cork and secure them to the motors with two-sided tape. I'm just a bit concerned that there may be something special about the cork pads originally supplied.

Many thanks in advance for any replies as this is stopping me progressing with the build

The only function they have is dampen the vibrations of the motors, so basically you could try and use the cork you have. Worst case scenario is that your BB will be louder than normal, but since it is for the Z-axis motors I think this will not be a problem.

Thanks for the reply Rob. I've made 2 gaskets up and I'll put them on tomorrow
