Correct E-Step formula for Titan?

    Hello, I'm trying to calibrate my E-steps using the formula:

    (expected length) x steps = (actual length) x new steps

    However, this is not working for me. My default E-steps is 916 as I've got 32x micro-stepping, I asked for 100mm, but got 113mm, giving me a new E-step value of 810. However, when I then asked for 100mm, I got 87mm. Any ideas?

    Hmm, that should be working. Could you perform the calibration with the Titan not driving into a hotend, just to remove the possibility of slip for now?

    That is the correct formula.
    Are you really extruding or doing it without a nozzle fitted? With what speed are you feeding?

    I just can tell from my own experience that is when your values of extruded filament are way off what you asked for then you have to it multiple times, first you over extruding, next iteration under, next over and so on. When I get to about 1mm difference then the next iteration is perfect...

    I'm extruding with the nozzle on (at 220C for PLA) at 60mm/min.

    That is quite fast, I wrote a very long thread when I had the same issue calibrating the filemant here.
    The result was that you have to extrude slower because of the back pressure that build up in the nozzle at those speeds.
    I use a value of 10mm/min now and get good and steady results...
