Coverting Bowden to Direct Drive

    Hi, Can a bowden V5 be converted to a direct drive without any extra or even just minimal purchasing?

    Have you tried to remove the bowden fittings at the top and mounting it?

    Can you just remove the coupling and use it as is? I didn't think you could with out issues. Hoping to use it with a wades style extruder.

    As long as the extruder fits the E3D I see no problem on using it with a direct extruder.
    If the connection to the extruder is loose you can insert a small washer to take up the space at the top of the E3D.
    I have done this with good results, your results may vary but it should work for you.
