    Hello,

I'm somewhat stuck at the preparation of the cooling fans for my dual bigbox: according to the wiki, "You'll need two assemblies for the Dual, the additional fan for the Dual is in the Dual Extruder Box.". So I would expect to find 2 pcs. PRINT FAN BRACKET and 2 pcs. PRINT FAN DUCT. Instead I have 3 pcs. PRINT FAN BRACKET and 1 pcs. PRINT FAN DUCT (see picture).

Here's my question: does the second fan have a different assembly or is this just a packaging error?

    Cheers,
    Thomas

I would just build it with one fan and print the second... :D
You can assemble the whole thing without that part and mount it later without problems...

Oh btw you have to print it with some heat resistant material, ABS or Colorfabb HT, some PET might also work...

Yes, good suggestion - but I guess the cabling of the second print head will be somewhat difficult without properly mounting the second fan. I'll check with the E3D-Team... Thanks for your help, Alex!

you could just install 1 extruder and print the part yourself :)

The part you have missing is the one bottom left of your photo, the one with the duct to divert the fan blast away from the nozzle. To continue with the wiring you could use spacers to replace the missing part (but I'm told that E3D will ship a missing part quite quickly) and be able to wire it up, just replacing the spacers with the part you print or receive in the post.

I just checked with E3D - the missing part is already on its way... they are really fast :)
