Because we have designed the HotEnd to be as modular as possible it is very easy to change between version of the HotEnd at a later date if you need to.

    Converting from Direct to Bowden
If you are keeping the same filament diameter, switching to Bowden is easy. You will need the following:
    1. 1x Bowden heatsink to replace your Direct one.
      - for 1.75mm http://e3d-online.com/E3D-All-Metal-Heat-Sink-Bowden
      - for 3mm http://e3d-online.com/E3D-All-Metal-Heat-Sink-Bowden-3mm
    2. 1x Threaded Bowden coupler to screw into the heatsink.
      - for 1.75mm http://e3d-online.com/Bowden-Couplings-1.75mm
      - for 3mm http://e3d-online.com/Bowden-Couplings
    3. 1x Bowden coupler for your extruder. You have a bit of flexibility here and can choose 1 of 3 options:
      1. A second threaded Bowden coupling as above (If you don't know what you want, get this!)
      2. Embdeded Bowden Coupling for Metal – to be push-fitted into metal (or plastic if you melt it in)
      - for 1.75mm http://e3d-online.com/Embeded-Bowden-Couplings
      - Not available for 3mm yet.
      3. Embeded Bowden Coupling for Plastic – to be push-fitted into plastic
      - for 1.75mm http://e3d-online.com/Embeded-Bowden-Couplings-Plastic
      - Not available for 3mm yet.
    4. As much Bowden tubing as you need
      - for 1.75mm http://e3d-online.com/Bowden/PTFE-Tubing
      - for 3mm http://e3d-online.com/Bowden/PTFE-Tubing-3mm
It's as easy as that, and if you want 800mm of Bowden tubing then it will cost you around £22 (for 1.75mm, 3mm tubing is slightly more expensive).

    Converting from Bowden to Direct
The only thing you need to do to make this conversion is to replace your heatsink with the direct version. So you need:
    1. 1x Direct heatsink
      - for 1.75mm http://e3d-online.com/E3D-All-Metal-Heat-Sink-Direct
      - for 3mm http://e3d-online.com/E3D-All-Metal-Heat-Sink-Direct-3mm

    Converting between 1.75mm and 3mm
To change between filament sizes is also easy, you will need to replace the following components:
    1. 1x Heatsink - see above for links and info.
    2. 1x Heat break
      - for 1.75mm http://e3d-online.com/E3D-HotEnd-Heat-Break-1.75mm
      - for 1.75mm http://e3d-online.com/E3D-HotEnd-Heat-Break
    3. 1x Nozzle
      - See our spare-nozzles section http://e3d-online.com/Extra-Nozzles.... fan duct, heater block, thermistor, etc....

Please fix the links to the needed parts for the conversion.

This is over a year old, and covers a hotend not sold in almost a year.

Are you trying to convert a v5 or a v6?
