    Hello friends,

I am trying to make my own E3D v6 heat sink. The material is made of aluminium. I would like to know what kind of coating is used for the heat sink to give it a shiny look.

I read about few coating processes like anodizing but those decrease the thermal coefficient a lot, so i don't think those are useful.

If anyone has an idea it would be great.

Also since the heat break is made from SS will the aluminium corrode as one is more electro-positive than the other ?

Spray it with one of the clear (or even better coloured! ) lacquers used on car engine parts
