tl;dr don't boil water in Edge Working on a customer project where they want to dehydrate samples at 101C and need some special containers because NDA NDA NDA. I'm doing the form studies in Edge and thought, hey, I wonder if they can test the forms at 101C? If so, we don't have to order injected molded samples for dehydration testing. http://www.functionalprototype.com/news/2017/08/20/thermal-qualities-of-e3ds-edge-filament/
I'm amazed it wasn't destroyed to a greater extent. The end result is very Dali-esque. Thanks for sharing.
Oh my! Great pictures. I suggest you try colorFabb HT instead, It's made from Eastman's Amphora HT5300 co-polyester. I've used it for short times up above 280 F (138 C). Around boiling you should have no trouble.
Ok, deleted my last post, I couldn't get .25mm to work because I am an idiot. Now, I have it extruding, but I'm wondering what the limit is on a Titan with a .25mm head. I tried to set M92 with the nozzle on and nothing worked right. Pulled the nozzle, set the steps with no problem. Going to put the nozzle back on and try some very slow speeds.
