    Hi,

the blue injection moulded fan duct for the E3D-v6 1.75 bowden seems to be too big. It snaps on the aluminium corpus but is not a tight fight. It can rotate freely around the aluminium part and has a little play in z-direction. There is a little dent on both inner sides of the duct but these just prevent it from completely moving up and down.
Is there a trick to secure the it in place?

    Thanks,
    Stefan

I had hoped someone said something like "oh right, we had a bad batch. here I'll send you a new one" because I would expect all parts from a great hotend to work well. Am I the only one with this problem?

What do you mean by rotate freely?

It isn't supposed to clamp down non moving i think.

Is it completely loose or what?

Ok, thanks. Good idea. Let's hope the felt won't heat up too much.

The felt should not heatup at all or your fan is too weak

I think I understand what might happening. When mounting the fan duct on the cooler block -- without -- the fan everything fits. However. After I mounted the fan with the four screws, the whole thing gets too loose. Too bad when I dismounted the fan the fan duct stays loose. What I hoped for is it just bends back. However it didn't. I don't like the idea to fit in a piece of carpet into my beautiful hot-end.....
