I am building an FT5 right now, and I can find the baseplate fan anywhere. What package was yours in?

Are all the black pieces injection-moulded plastic?

And the result is nice and rigid?

laser cut melamine, similar to the plywood bigbox.

the frame is aluminum, it's pretty rigid so far. it will have to be, since they plan to release a CNC upgrade for the FT-5.

2/3 finished, and then what shows up on my doorstep... a bigbox.

one thing is for sure, the FT-5 build is not for beginners.
