I nearly went bananas trying to install nut traps in those infernal base frame struts (the lower nut traps, which you can't install until the bottom plate is on). A dab of glue stick on the end of an index finger or thumb, depending on which particular &%!!@ strut you're addressing, makes the nut trap adhere to your digit long enough to at least have a sporting chance of placing the damn thing.

That happy idea may have saved what's left of my sanity at this stage of the build. Unless your hands are as small as monkey paws, it may save yours.

If I had known how bad the access is, I would have just Krazy-glued those nut traps in place. This tip is for those of us who find out after the bottom plate is on.

A fine single malt scotch makes that regret go right away. I speak from experience!

You're right, Henry. I'm going to toss my beer down the drain, then go upstairs and pour myself a double shot of Glenmorangie. :D
