    Hi all

Any tips here to solve ghosting issues on the bigbox ?
I do have the 1.1 with single direct extruder.

    Cheers

    Hi,

Slow down the print. Check nothing is lose. Adjust the jerk settings. Alter acceleration.

Can we see a photo of the effect on your prints?

Here are the pictures. Just now is a print running with slower printing speed, but as i remember correctly that was always identical. Found nothing lose.
Do i have to change jerk and acceleration on the printer fw or in simplify3d ?

In the firmware. You should be able to change it via the LCD.

What print speed are you using?

On the right picture is the first one with speed of 50mm/s and the new one on the left is with 30mm/s.
There is really already a improvement.

Is 30mm/s still too quick or shall i change jerk and accl. settings now ?

It may be a good idea to adjust the accels, I print at 50mm/s and its generally pretty good, there are some small artifacts around bolt holes but very minor not likes yours. Unfortunitly I don't have access to my settings right now or I would post them.

I do slow the outer layer some I think its around 75% of my set prints speed so it would be closer to 35-40 on just the outer perimeter. If your still having issues in about 9-10 hours I should be able to post my firmware and slicer settings

    What slicer are you using?

Would be great if you could check your settings. Got quite a improvement already. But unsure how far i can go with those settings and which are the correct ones.

    I am using Simplify3d.

Have you gone through the machine and checked all the belts are tight? Make sure there is no play in the bearings, check the nozzle isn't loose.

You can adjust the acceleration via the LCD. For the original dual acceleration should be 400mm/s/s

30mm/s print speed should be fine. If you are using the old 1.0 KS dual head my recommendation is to upgrade to the hybrid dual as a minimum. I'd consider this too if you want to get a little deeper into modifying | https://forum.e3d-online.com/index.php?threads/bigbox-dual-x-carriages-bowden.2480/

    My bad.

I would check the hotend is fitted tightly to the carriage. Grab hold of bits and see if anything wobbles.
