I have been experimenting with new dual printing methods. I have designed and printed a night light with Glow-In-The-Dark PLA as 'infill'. There are actually two models which form the print, an outer shell, and then the inner glow core. The idea being that the horrid green glow-in-the-dark PLA is hidden behind a much more prettier colour. The outer shell needs to be as transparent as possible to allow the light to travel through it. The end result works really quite well! Full details of the project, including links to the STLs and components can be found on instrcutables | http://www.instructables.com/id/Glow-In-The-Dark-Nuclear-Bomb-Night-Light/
incredible work greg! this is a really cool idea! do you think you could replace the danger sign thinggy with something like blue glow in the dark?
It's a really cool print Greg - I saw it on Thingiverse before you posted here. It looks really good both lit up and glowing!
omg wow. that's long. the longest I have printed was a 10 hour print which failed lol. anyways keep up the great work!
