    Hi,

I'm working on designing my own 3D printer and would greatly appreciate the mechanical drawings for the V6 groove mount. Even if someone can just jot the overall dimensions, and hole placements/diameters for me that would be very helpful.

I just want to be sure I can mount it all properly before I purchase.

    Thanks,
    Alex

    Thanks for the reply.

I am still having trouble locating the drawings. The page you has linked contains drawings for components to the extruder itself, I am after drawings for the groove mount located here:

I have of course scoured the E3D website and Google already.

    Thank you

    alexm,

Here's a link to a J-Head mounting plate Solidworks model. It should have similar dimensions. You can download the eDrawings viewer for free and take measurements off it if you don't have access to solidworks.

    Thanks gsisk, this is helpful.

For now I just took a screenshot of the website picture and put it in the background of a sketch and recreated a model as best I could. From it I'm pretty certain the outer mounting slots are for M4 screws and have center to center spacing of 50mm. This is good enough for now, when (if) I do order I will carefully measure and post drawings here for others.

That depends on the printer/x-carriage you plan to use!

The mounting plate on E3D's website has slots with centers 55mm apart.
