Hi, can someone tell why plastic standoffs are used and would it be ok to use metal standoffs? Thanks
My guess is that they are used to prevent heat from conducting through the standoffs to the aluminum plate below, maybe to prevent thermal expansion and protection again high-temperatures for those components over the course of a long print. The Plastic standoffs are Polysulfone based so they are likely to be very durable over long-term use at high-temps
