When I screw in the heater block and heatbreak Assembly body, it is past a 90-degree orientation with the cooling shroud by 1/8 of a turn, prior to hot tightening. Do I need to install a shim so the assembly will be short of 90-degrees prior to hot tightening, so it will end up parallel with the cooling shroud after tightening? There is not enough room for the heater block in any other orientation. Thanks for your insight.
Here's what I figured out. You screw the nozzle into the heater block until it stops against the heater block. Do not tighten. Then screw the heatbreak into the other side of the heater block until it butts against the nozzle. Still, without tightening, screw the assembly into the heat sink until it bottoms in the heat sink. Next, hold the heater block steady and back off the nozzle 1/2 turn. Finally, turn the heater block clockwise until it is properly aligned to the cooling shroud (or very slightly less than aligned). Now you are ready to perform the normal hot tightening.
