Is there anyone that knows of a guide for Hemera Firmware using VS Code? I have an Ender 3 upgraded with the new 4.2.7 silent board which does not use the Arduino build program. Here is my history with it. I purchased the Hemera when it first came out and couldn't get it the firmware to compile. I was using the stock Ender 3 board and then the BTT V2 which require the bootloader but I couldn't get the firmware to compile without errors. I did have the BTT board working with the stock Ender hotend and extruder. The new 4.2.7 board doesn't use a bootloader. Part of the problem is that I'm not the best at problem solving the coding errors (or any programing for that matter). I have been nothing but frustrated with trying to get it set up. The Hemera hasn't even had filament ran through it yet. I was frustrated with it enough that I bought a Mosquito hotend with a clone Bondtech extruder. The clone extruder just doesn't work that well so before spending the money to buy the real Bondtech extruder and selling my Hemera, I thought I would see if I could get the firmware working but now I am back to the original issue. I'm not set on either of the hotends so whichever I can get to work will be the one I use. Any help would be appreciated.
Other than changing the steps/mm for the extruder, why does the Hemera need different firmware? If you decide to sell your Hemera, I might well be a willing buyer. I have one, and love it, but of course no spare parts (gears, in particular) have been available for a year now, and if anything breaks, I will be out of luck.
Thanks for the reply. It may be that I'm just putting in the changes wrong. I just can't get VS Code to compile the changes listed in the tutorial without errors. I'm leaning towards sticking with the Mosquito and will be ordering the BMG-M extruder
I'm having problems setting up my Arduino UNO in preparation to flash the bootloader onto my Creality3D Ender 5 (V1.1.4 board). I've downloaded the TH3D Unified Package, opened the Arduino ISP, but when I try to select Tools > Ports, it just doesn't let me. I've tried updating my USB drivers, installing all of the Arduino COM drivers, and nothing. Can you help me? Do you know someone who can? Thanks for anything
