First off, I have had very good results with the Hemera, it prints really nicely. However I came back one evening to find a failed print. No matter what I tried it just kept failing. I then decided to take it apart and noticed that the gear to the second hobbed wheel was freely rotating relative to the motor drive gear.I cant see any obvious cracks etc, but I had previously noticed red 'rust'

Bad press fits cause the cracks, a crack is there if you look close enough.

I just discovered the same issue with my gear set. Batch #2256-16 couldn't figure out what was going on and upon inspection of the gears I didn't see any cracks but that one gear is freely spinning. E3D is probably inundated with support tickets about this because I have yet to hear back. I should of just kept the stock hotend on what was I thinking!
