Hiya. I accidently hit the retract button in Octoprint while it was set to, I think, about 20mm. So I guess it has retracted the molten filament into the gears, and now it's completely stuck. I can't manually turn the gears even a nanometer, and the tension-thing is completely stuck. I figure the only way to fix this is to remove the filament in the gear, but I can't even remove the gear. So I guess I have to heat the filament so it can be removed. But I'm afraid I'll damage something internally if I heat it too much, e.g. the tension-thing appears to be plastic. Suggestions? Max temperature I can try to heat the gears to?
Figured it out: Turns out the tension-thing could be removed and the drive gear as well. Got it all out and all peachy! But now the motor won't turn, so back to searching. With clog: Without clog:
I'm at the same stage in my dissasembly for what I expect to be a similar jam (different root cause). How did you get the tension arm out? For me it's blocked by the drive gear
