I would really like to know if you returned it, because that is the number on mine and would mean i got sent a used part that someone else had problems with.
It says "batch" on the box (mine is 2259-10), so that would suggest it's not a serial number for your specific unit. It's probably a number that has either production year/week, factory location and/or kit type encoded somehow.
Hi!! from sweden!! Just got my hermes kit.. batch 2256-4 Should i be worried it braking the first thing it does with the gears? Is there a pertitucal batch number series where this is a problem and is there a workaround or should i just contact support and let them send me a new kit before i install it if the fixed/identified the problem? a bit worried... Or do i just need to lube the gears between the motor and big gear? Best rergards Jan Noord /Sweden
Here's the relevant page detailing how to check, essentially there's a problem if the gears are loose on the shafts: https://e3d-online.dozuki.com/Wiki/Hemera_Gear_Known_Issue
sorry for my english, i use google translator good evening everyone, I bought a hemera at the end of December 2019, lot 2259-15 from the e3d shop. 4 days ago I sent these photos to the e3d support email specifying Hemera Gear Problem as object and specifying the problem encountered with the TPU printing. The following day I received an email from the support with the opening of the 40820 ticket and some fairly general questions ... I answered the questions by attaching the requested photos but since then (despite a tickle made last night) I have no longer received an answer. Has anyone here obtained the replacement of the gears under warranty? how long from the ticket opening? ###########UPDATE######### yesterday I was sent this answer. " Hi Alessandro, Many thanks for your reply. I am arranging a replacement to be sent at present I don't have a dispatch date at the moment but as soon as I have more information I shall let you know. Kind regards" we hope that the shipping confirmation will arrive in the next few days.
Hello E3D, what temperature are the gears heated to and for how long to relieve internal stresses and then what process is used to harden the teeth?
Add me to the list of Hemera owners with broken gear teeth. I contacted the USA distributor from whom I purchased my Hemera, and they said that I had to contact E3D directly. On top of that E3D had them return all their replacement motors, so I can’t even order one and pay for it myself. My printer has been down for a week. If I can’t get this resolved quickly, how do I get a refund? ETA: Natalie from E3D emailed me on Tuesday (3/10) with some stock questions. I responded quickly, but have heard nothing since then.
Hello fellow hemera owners from Dominican Republic! 3 or so weeks ago after reciving the skr mini e3 1.2 and install it i try to print a test cube, but halfway through it i hear a clicking sound and way after that is printing air, so thinking it was a clog i opened and clean the gnawed filament and damaging the thermistor(that was really stupid), next week the new termistor to come and try again... then i see the real issue in a closer inspection, i bought the hemera in december and this is the only time it has fail. Now hoping that all of us receive the replacement gear/ complete replacement. My batch is:2259-11 i bought it from e3d-online and my ticket id is 40983

Great, I've been waiting 3 weeks for an actual responce to my ticket (#40336) for the same issue that I had with my replacement... Edit: Had a reply now
but have they confirmed the shipment of the spare parts or have they just told you that they will send them in the near future? for now they have only promised the replacement but I still do not have a shipping number (ticket 40820) ...the machine has been stopped for two weeks ....
Mine is doing it. I even fighting with it for 2 month trying to get the esteps right before I check here. Mine is batch 2259-6 it only extrudes half what I tell it too. No matter what esteps I set it too. What do I need to do to get a replacement?
Make sure that the steps are actually loaded from the config. Changing them in Marlin and reflashing will keep the old steps unless you reload the EEPROM.
I have read all of the entries and have a somewhat different problem. I'm getting a small am fount of metal in the large gear that the motor gear drives. This will cause the extruder to completely stop at that point, as the gears will not mesh. I have had this happen twice and was able to clear the metal fragment with an Xacto knife on one. I have two extra Hemeras so am still running, but am keeping my eye on them
