I'm off the waitlist and looking to buy my toolchanger. I knew the order process was a bit complicated, ordering all the individual bits and trying not to mess it up. However, it's now additionally complicated by the addition of the Hemera option. I'm in a rush as I'm getting "pestering" mails saying "we are about to open up to general orders and if you don't order now you may see additional delays"...

What I want: 2 direct drive and 2 v6/bowden. I'm hoping to use Hemera for the bowden drive as well, as I'm used to bondtech and like the dual drive.

For the two Bowden tools, I think I need:
    - 2x "V6 Bowden Tool 1.75mm Product Code:TC-TOOL-V6"
    - 2x "E3D Hemera Bowden Kit (1.75mm)" (for the bowden tools)

For the two direct drive heads, I think I need:
    - 2x "E3D Hemera Direct Kit (1.75mm)" (appears to come with the basic v6 hot end, correct?)
    - 2x "Blank Tool Plate" (which I don't currently see on the order page)

Or do I need to buy 2 more "v6 bowden tools" to get the hot plate, then just toss the tools in the parts box?

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Paul

    My current leaning:

    - 2x direct drive Hemera
    - 2x blank tool plates
    - 2x printed adapter for Hemera to tool plate
    - 2x Bowden Hemera
    - 2x v6 tool

    Digging into the adapter now...

    Hi

I think you need a little bit more. Greg has listed on thingiverse what you need if you convert a V6 tool to Hemera.
    https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4008778

And what you need if you create a Hemera tool from nothing.

As far as I can see, you need at least the dock bracket (out of POM) and the blank tool plate (out of aluminum) from the V6 tool to use the convert method.

    :)

You would also need the dock that holds the tool when idle...

Yup, it sounds like that dock is the main piece missing. With a direct drive Hemera, aluminum plate, and the aluminum dock, the rest could be printed. Sounds like I need to buy two full v6 tools for the plate/dock.

Or wait for the toolcanger kit for Hemera. According to Greg it is soon ready, so maybe 4-6 weeks away. I’m guessing of course :)

We are making a hemera tool kit. It will be available shortly.

If you wanted to get your amchine now with just two tools get two V6 bowdens and matching standard and mirrored titan, then when the hemera tool is available just snag two of those and add them in. should be pretty easy to do :)

    I went ahead and ordered.

I ordered no titans. I grabbed 2x v6 toolheads, a hemera direct drive and a hemera bowdwen. The only way I'll have a shot at seeing if I can make them work is to get the kit in hand so I can visualize... Once I get them in hand I'll start jury-rigging.

I also skipped the PSU (grabbed a Meanwell 450w from Amazon, I've had bad luck with no-name PSUs and I'm paranoid).

Good call. The fan in mine let out a death wail the other day, like chinesium fans in psu's I've had in the past. It's fine now, but meh.
