Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I have a prusa i3 rework with a e3d v6 3mm direct hotend.
It has worked nicely for a while, i used something like 4kg of filament between pla and abs, but now i'm having an annoing issue:
the filament flow from the nozzle has become very irregular, sometimes is so little that the filament barely comes out from the nozzle.
Generally i'm experiencing the issue after that 20 o 30 layer have been printed, some other times even during the brimming, but if i'm printing a large part sometimes the flow is restored.
The extruder's motor is working and gerar are engaging. on the first time i tought it was a worn hubbed bolt but after having it raplaced the issue was still there, when the filament is stuck the hubbed bolt digs in it.
When this happens is difficult to remove the filament, even with a claw.
I've tried to change the temperatures, both rising up to 210°c and lowering it up to 180 °c, i even tried to use abs, to change cold end, both in pla and abs, dismantle and rebuild the extruder several time. I damaged the heat block and the heat break so i had to buy a new one, i tried to clean the heatsink with a blowpipe.

Is my extruder gone so i have to buy a new one or there's something wrong with my printer?
    thank you

this is the filament when i tried to remove it from the printer

I have a similar issues with the E3D, and it's pretty much brand new, it will print fine for 10 seconds, then the extruded filament drops, then it will pick it up again and extrude normally and drops again. Sometimes after 10 seconds and sometimes after 40 seconds.

Racing's problem might be a partially clogged nozzle, or, too much volumetric extrusion at certain parts of the print.

A cold-pull cleaning will fix the first, and slowing the print down will fix the second.

hi, thank you for your answers. i bought a brand new extruder, and a new spool of pla but the issue is still there.. with the same setup i've used something like 3 spools without any issues, i don't really know what to do

Reading it again, might be a temperature issue.
