    I have moved to Spoon's bed leveling design as well. I also run bed leveling before each print. This has been a very reliable setup for me.

    Small update to mine was to add a longer M3 screw. I think the first one I used was 8mm or 10mm, and I hadn't realised it wasn't really giving me what I needed. I think I now have a 14mm or 16mm in there (sorry for imprecision) and this gives me the adjustment I need together with the grip in the hex.
