Working on settings for Hybrid at the moment, targeting KISSlicer v1.5 RC1. So far so good, but still some kinks to iron out and i haven't tested nor tuned in the bowden extruder yet. If there's anyone else using KISSlicer, let me know and i can share the profile and/or work on profiles for other setups too.
Not yet, das a look at it some time ago, but it seemed old and inacitve... Is it still in developing? That last beta is almost two years old... Though you mentioned some pretty cool features against the Z-scar...
The author disappeared years ago due to personal issues, but he got back and has been actively developing it for the past year and a half or so. The problem is - he's not updating the web page at all. You can find the latest version (v1.5 RC) here: http://www.kisslicertalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1307&p=3676
Yeah, it's an acquired taste. The problem is, it started out simple, but the developer is very responsive to suggestions. And people had suggestions. Lots of them. So over time, it was NOT kept very simple Here's my current set of .ini files for the hybrid mirrored: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1702513/KISSlicer - BigBox.zip Just unzip them and drop them in the same folder as the .exe.
KK maybe I'll give it a shot... But that GUI looks weird... So far I love S3D for lots of thing and hate it for many more... But the alternatives aren't going to get me excited in any way...
I only had a brief experience with S3D and didn't like it very much. On the other hand, i've been using KISSlicer for about 3 years. I'm not very objective. PS: Part of the reason the GUI looks weird is it's cross-platform and doesn't use vanilla UI widgets. Other part of it is there's way too many settings and it kept it's UI layout since the very beginning while piling on more and more features and options. It needs a grounds-up UI redesign, but considering it's a single developer product, and its target audience are people who've mostly been using it since the beginning (so don't care about the way it looks and the way it's organized) i doubt that's going to happen any time soon.
