The Linear Bearings are not listed in the BOM, Could someone please conform the correct size. Given the number of people that seem to be getting at least one damaged one on their build. I am thinking of getting a set of spares in for when my BB arrives
The linear bearings used are LM8LUU, the ones from Misumi I used are called LMUW8. 8mm inner diameter 15mm outer diameter 45mm long
Many Thanks, Did you get yours direct from http://uk.misumi-ec.com ? They seem to have some convoluted account setup process that's going to take a few days before I can place the order...I get the impression they are only looking for trade customers
Be careful, they are LM8LUU not LM8UU (that E3D sell). In the UK I bought my spares from http://www.makertronics.co.uk/linear-bearing-lm8luu-8mm-long-bushing.html and they are of good (enough) quality.
Eight? Great. Is Misumi the brand of choice? It appears I can order them direct in the USA. I live in Laguna Hills California
Do these look right? Maybe the photo is not to scale.. (Update: The bearings are longer than pictured) http://us.misumi-ec.com/vona2/detai...W8&PNSearch=LMUW8&searchFlow=results2products
$10.29 each and that does not include shipping. Wow. That is a lot of money compared to $2.49 for the Chinese versions. Although with Chinese it is best to over buy and throw out the bad ones. Still, 4X more money. I will probably still buy them..but WOW!
UPDATE: The bearings are longer than pictured but they are not USA made bearing but rather Vietnam made bearings so I they may be better than Chinese bearings but probably not worth the $100 US dollars price.
Francesco ordered a bunch, and I believe they are like 4 dollars a piece, so no more than 35 for all 8 shipped from europe...
Indeed. They cost me 4.03 (4.5 dollars?) euros plus shipping (for europeans plus taxes). Shipping should be about 8/9 euros (cheapest shipping of all) but this is something i will know only once I find the post office open (tuesday).
