    Hi,

Does anyone have detailed settings for their Hemera with PETG that doesn't produce terrible stringing?

Looking at Retraction length, Speed, Coasting etc etc

    Thanks in advance :)

I run PETG on my Hemera between 230C and 260C, depending on how fast I am printing. I was running 260C printing pieces of face shields, where I was running at 90 mm/s; at that speed, I suspect the filament was never getting all the way up to that temperature. The Hemera takes very little retraction, since it has a very short filament path. 1 mm of retraction is a lot, and 0.5 mm works for a lot of things. Over-retracting causes trouble, since you end up sucking in air, and then the emitted filament comes out with burps of air, making a mess (including stringing, blobs, boogers sticking to everything, etc.). With PETG, it is important to keep it dry, since water also does these same things as it steams off.

Thanks very much for the detailed info. What kind of retraction speed are you using at around 0.5mm? :)
