Dear all, I am fed up with my Wade extruder. This diva often is not feeding (depending on the PLA quality). So I would like to change my setup to a bowden extruder with a geared stepper and direct drive. However I think I need to modify my hotend to be able to do this. Is there any easy way to change from non-bowden to bowden? Do you provide a cross grade (kit) for that? Thanks for your support. Mike I think I do have Version 4 of the E3D hotend.
...think I know the answer already after looking into the documentation of the E3D hotend. Could see that there is a thread in the top part of the aluminium body to screw in the fittings. So I guess I need to replace this part, add fittings and tubing - right?
On Thingiverse there are many bowden to j-head adapters and other types, just search for bowden on Thingiverse and you will be amazed at the diversion of adapters that have been created.
If you're in the US, I offer a direct to bowden conversion: http://www.filastruder.com/collections/ ... -coversion
SOLVED: Modify from non-bowden to bowden? Hi Josh, thanks for this. Exactly what I am looking for. I guess this will be helpful also for others... Mike
