hello peolpe, I am new in the 3d printing world, I buy a ctc prusa i3 (low price on) and I am upgrading it by changing important parts like the motors and the extruder or hotend, but I have a mater with my new X and Y axis motor, i buy from e3d this motors http://e3d-online.com/NEMA17-40Ncm-D-shaft?search=motor but since i placed the motors my y axe and somtimes also my x axe miss steps ,it blocks on it movment and then not go to the right position, I do not understand why, i triple cheked my mounting and evrry thing look good, my y plater move normally wen i hand move it and its the same for my x axe, nothing look bloks it physiqualy, I was wondering if it was not a bad sting of the driver voltage, could you please chek the product i buy and said me wich seting i have to put on my driver, in the product description they write rated voltage 2.55 volt but did this the value y have to set my driver voltage to? thanks for answering i really dont know much about motors and this kind of things then sorry if my question is stupid edit: ho and if you think is not that the mater and know a solution dont hesitate edit2: for full information I also changed my belt in the same time I changed the motor, did that can be the mater?
Hello and welcome! For us to answer your question we will need a bit more information and maybe a picture or two. I'm assuming that you upgraded your motors from 1.8° to the 0.9°. Did you change the step value in your configuration.h file (Marlin)? When you move your axis' (X & Y) do the motors make a strange sound? What is the speed you are trying to print at? hi, yes i changed the value of my default step per unit (double value will make more accurate cheking later) wen i move the axes the motor make musical look like sound,, and i am printing the same sped i was prntin befor changes, 60mm/s defult value of cura, travel speed 120mm/s to be honest i am doing a test because i cheked again the mounting and i think perhaps the mater come because my pulley was not in the right alignment, will said in 1 hour if the result is good or no. thanks for answaering waht you think anyway
