Hey there, i recently got a new titan aero and i noticed that prints are a little overextruded with the standard steps/mm mentioned in the wiki. Do these titan extruders need calibration or is that value meant to be more as an "ideal case scenario" that needs to be refined further using the standard Esteps calibration procedure?

Second question - i used the thermal compound provided in the set for the cold-end threads of the heatbreak and then had to heat the hotend up to 285C to tighten the nozzle. That's fine and all, but during heating that thermal compound started giving off a bad smell and left dark, burned-looking residue on the first 30-40cm of extruded filament until it cleared out. Is that normal?

yup. If you really want to get technical you should calibrate for each filament.....

    Yeh, it's fine :)
