    Hello all,

Just recently installed the Hemera on my CR10S.
    Followed all instructions as stated.
And now I am getting the following while printing with PETG.
"Somewhat" stable 240 and after a while it dips to 220-235's

I have performed about 6-7 PID autotunes.
Could it be that the capacitor on the CR10s needs replacement?

I will enable serial.log and do this again and upload the log

Was that OK before?? It looks very much like the issue well known on CR-10 boards, and cheap MKS boards, where the total capacitance on the 5v supply line isn't enough to smooth the thermistor response...

Alternatively you might have a poor connection on the thermistor that changes the resistance as the head moves I suppose.

Yup temps were ok before, even when I changed for a microswiss hotend.
Despite the capacitor would inadequate airflow over the mainboard cause this?

Ripped out the power supply, and found an old ATX connected the board to 12v and started printing.
So far the temps are as shown in the graph, there are ripples but I guess I will need to clear the eprom and redo a few PID cycles.

I have though ordered capacitors for me to exchange in the event that the PID does not fix these ripples.
Will update when all is done.

I just measured the resistance on the heater cartridge and its at 7.7Ω.
Surely this should be lower for a 12v cartridge of 30W, should be like around 4.8Ω. right?

Unfortunately, the support team are experiencing some backlog so it is taking slightly longer than usual to respond.

    Just an update.

I installed the stock CR10S Heater Cartridge (12v 30W) and the heating is now stable.
