    This is a pretty astonishingly large 3D print (yes I get that he printed the mold, not the part, but that is HUGE!). The build volume was 1800 x 1000 x 700 mm for each segment of the mold... Wonder how many Kg of plastic it was (600kg of iron in the final piece) total...

    No plastic. Here they describe their way to produce casting moulds.
