I'm am constantly getting a lot of oozing with petg and dual extrusion. I am running an ooze shield but the problem is when my support material is printing and not the petg. The petg oozes out over the bed and just ends up collecting everything on the nozzle which ends up transfering/falling/etc onto the part when that nozzle hoovers over the part while the support is still printing. Here are my settings, but anything will help. retraction distance 2.0mm extra restart distance 0.0mm retraction vertical lift 0.0mm retraction speed 20.0mm/s
probably not, what is the specific setting called? but I think the majority of the problem is everything that is picked off the bed while the other nozzle is printing.
Its a technique that E3D developed to purge the nozzle when switching tools to prevent oozing. I believe you have to put the code into the tool change script. I can try to find it but I haven't used it yet. I so I don't know that particulars myself
Here is a snippet from @Sanjay I don't know where a good write up is if there is one here is the thread https://forum.e3d-online.com/index.php?threads/dual-volcanoes.908/page-2 post 13
Look at Greg's post here https://forum.e3d-online.com/index.php?threads/guinea-pigs-required.709/ If you download that file from his dropbox, it has the code for the ramp purge or ooze less technique
