The standard BigBox LCD enclosure is of course beautiful, but it has some flaws. In this design I improved some (if not all) of them:
    • the opening for the SD card is bigger, with rounded corners, making removal of the SD card easier.
    • There is a hole in the front of the panel, making it possible to (re)adjust the LCD contrast without taking apart half of the printer
    • I've added another hole for the reset button, now you can do an emergency stop without powering off the printer
    Some other small improvements:
    • No more screws on the front of the panel, the hex screws are in the inside of the panel mount
    • I've added a bracket that prevents the bending of the LCD PCB when mounting the screws of the LCD panel.
    • A nice printable big turning knob on the front of the panel :)
    Parts needed:
4x M3 12mm screws for the LCD screen
6x M3 16mm screws for mounting the enclosure to the frame

All the printed parts with pictures are on Thingiverse.

Does everyone clean up their work areas for these pictures? Because mine never looks like everyone elses. Or are you just all neat freaks?

Nice, @Rob Heinzonly! I just drilled holes for the LCD adjustment and reset.

@Chase.Wichert, you should feel at home at my place. I only tidy when I have given up and not finding my tools.

Lol I tidy up UNTIL I find my tools then back to work. It's so annoying.

    @elmoret : Thanks !

@Chase.Wichert : Not really, but my wife is (sort of) :).

So do you keep it clean? Or does your wife?

Sounds familiar. I kind of get silently forced to tidy

@Chase.Wichert : No, there's a 1 meter perimeter 'no entrance' around my printer. But the organizers of Richard Horne certainly help :).

Lol, my wife doesn't enter my office in fear that she will trip and fall and kill herself. And I get the silent and verbal, you need to clean.

Great Work and I love the contrast, I didn't use all the free orange filament so the contrast against black will be perfect.

So............ can you post the dimensions (from the bottom and the side) of the hole for the reset button, I'm going to be lazy and just drill a hole (without removing the panel) and poke a plastic rod through it.

I didn't initially see the second hole (for the contrast control?) Only one shown on the Thingiverse ref?

While my wife would stay out of the 1m perimeter the disdainful looks thrown at the mess would blow right through the 1m barrier!

Rob, great work! I have to ask where the file is for the hinge on your electronics bay cover? That is definitely something I want to add. I was wanting to make magnetic holders for the four corners, but will now only do that for one side.
