Problems maintaining the nozzle at temp when tightening.

    Per the instructions it says to heat the nozzle to 285C. I do that and when put the wrench on the heat block to hold it still the temp falls. Had to wrap the wrench with kapton tape in order to tighten the nozzle. Is that a normal occurrence? PID has been performed.

    Just heat up the nozzle to that temp en tighten. That's all ;)
    It's normal for the aluminium hotend to cool when in contact with a colder piece of metal...

    That's OK Dave. I use a small mole/toggle wrench that has teeth to minimise contact with the block but with a piece of Kapton too; this gives a bit more time to do the job.
