PTC thread size?

Does anyone know what size threads the PTC couplers are - the site says the PTC coupling is 1/8" BSPT but they really look like non-tapered BSP to me. I am planning to replace the connectors on all 4 of my extruders to use the couplers with my Kraken and also my E3D V5 and need to order the correct tap.

    Thanks!

    Hi Michael,

This is actually quite a complicated (and somewhat boring) story which I will explain for the benefit of yourself and anyone else wondering.

All the threads in the top of our heat sinks are 1/8" BSPP.

For 1.75mm filament everything is fine since it is possible to get couplings in BSPP, however for 3mm filament we can only get BSPT couplings. We have however found a manufacturer that makes the BSPT threads in such a way that they fit into our BSPP-Tapped holes, but we can't advertise them as BSPP, because technically they are not..

This is the case at both ends of the Bowden tubing since we supply a pair of similar couplings.

It is a bit of a confusing state of affairs and is something that we are changing in future revisions!

    Regards,
    Josh
