    Do you move the bed after homing before moving to the dock?

    I am thinking about how this works for me. I think I have a Z hop for retraction most of the time so after leaving the dock the bed is at tha Z hop height when the head moves to the first position.
    Maybe an additional move after priming to the middle of the bed or something while the bed is lifted might help here...

    I don't usually see the oozing-drag problem between priming and the start of the print because:

    a) the nozzle has just been wiped;

    b) it moves at max XY speed to the start of the print (150mm/s in my case);

    But when doing an auto-home the printer takes some time.

    And then the move back to the dock after the autohome is slow.

    So ooze is dumped at the home point and then dragged out across the glass to the bucket.

    You have a different procedure?

    Of course I'm always using the relatively oozy XT.

    Printing with CF20 seems to introduce more chances of pickup and mid-print wipes may be needed. The rubber wiper does not collect filament from the sides of the nozzle whereas a brush will. I ordered the ones from Ebay that Greg posted above to try. My issue then is how to introduce wipes regularly throughout the print, can I do it?

    I think neither S3D nor Slic3r can do this automatically.
    I would take the "layer change" script for that but the problem is you don't wanna do it every layer but only every 10th or 50th layer...
    You have two variables in S3D in that script available but unfortunately no conditional function to compare that values against and do an action only when matching the conditional...
    Maybe you can work around by a post processing script...

    @R Design do you have a end g-code Script? Mine does a Extrude 10 mm then a very fast reverse Extrude 14 mm so the hotend is empty.

    @Stefan, no I don't.

    So you're suggesting that the next print would ooze less at the beginning?

    Interesting....

    I do that too. I used the "oozless script" as a prototype for what I do when a print ends. I move to the dock then do the oozeless purge for both extruders. If I only print with one extruder this doesnt hurt because of the cold extrusion preventions of the firmware...

    In S3D you can set processes for certain layers through out your print and you can do a wipe at specific intervals. Its manual to build the different processes and you have to account for all layers, but you can do it.
