It wouldn't surprise me if some of the creative people in this community were to design something that would accommodate a dual setup on that QuickFit carriage.
Nice, I am thinking about this too, but maybe make the x axis wider so the hot ends Dual will be able to fit through with cabling... And it must include a better way to set the height, the 1.0 way is not nice.
Why go so far to make a "hot swap" if he only uses one printhead (meaning extruder and hotend)? In my humble opinion it isn't a good idea to moved printhead of the x-axis center. Its mechanically irresponsible and because and forces you to do all sorts of weird bed hacking. Is or why isn't Richard on this awesome forum btw? This solution isn't for me - YET. For now im in favor of the hybrid with pancake stepper in the carriages and a big ass stepper on the bowden. Awesome squirting powers but still super lightweight.
