Assembly of both Pi and especially Rumba involves touching the circuit boards and their components. It may be over cautious but I don't remember any anti-static precautions being mentioned in the build doc.
You are totally right, but I only noticed static discharges when removing the protective film from the acrylic sheets. This is also climate related; if you live in a dry (home) climate, the probability of static discharges will be considerably higher.
*sarcasm on* Oh yes didn't think about that. I was wondering what those big yellow stickers tried to point out to me: *sarcasm off*
Without sarcasm, this should be a basic skill/knowledge when handling electronics. From my point of view nobody would by a 3D printer kit if this basic skill is missing. .... OK... in some countries you have to inform people about the fact that hot coffee is actually hot.... so it should be mentioned.... Damn, there is it the sarcasm
Oh yeah forgot about that... LOL... Good point... "Don't put your cat in the microwave oven to dry it!"
